Dish Sucks! Cable Forum for the People
Welcome to our new "Dish Sucks!" Cable forum.
The main reason for starting the "Dish Sucks" Cable forum {please don't take offence to the name} was to
counter the satellite forums out there constantly bashing cable TV! Of course they are affiliates selling Dish, so what
else would you expect from them? We all know DBS {Direct Broadcast Satellite} providers such as Dish Network and DirecTV
have spent a very large part of their time, trying to create negative false myths about the Cable TV industry. What they
are basically trying to do is distract the consumer from many of DBS satellites shortcomings. DirecTV and Dish Network wish
they could provide all the worry-free services Cable TV has to offer! They're the Cable Wannabe's
Controlling former owner of DirecTV, Calls DirecTV a "Turd Bird"
Even Rupert Murdoch who had 38% controlling stake of DirectTV, perhaps out of frustration called his
DirecTV a "Turd Bird"! Rupert Murdoch was a bit frustrated with the satellite business, because there is no effective way
DBS such as DirecTV or Dish Network could successfully compete with the Cable industry. Cable TV providers continue to move
ahead, with what's called "Triple Play" bundled services that include Cable TV video channels, high-speed internet
{Broadband internet}, and Cable telephone services that Echostar's Dish Network and DirecTV cant match. We definitely agree
with Rupert Murdoch, he is an intelligent business man.
Update
Rupert Murdoch has made an asset swap with Liberty Media; turning over his 38% controlling stake of DirecTV
group, to bring the Murdoch family from a 31% stake in News Corporation up to 38%, the deal solidifies his family's voting
control with News Corp. I guess Mr. Murdoch didn't have much confidence with the future of DirecTV??
